Uranium glass contains Uranium, it emits detectable alpha and beta radiation at low rate and is safe for humans.
Uranium 238 emits alpha particle and decays into Thorium which in turn emits beta particle and decays into Protactinium, decay chain continues with emission of alpha and beta particles until it eventually stops with stable isotope of Lead 206.
Uranium isotope glass could be used to test alpha and beta sensitive Geiger counters, suitable as a particle source for cloud chambers.
